Account Deletion
Use this page to request deletion of your Quiz Flux account and associated data.
Delete Your Account In The App
- Open Quiz Flux.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings.
- Choose "Delete Account Permanently".
- Read the warning and confirm deletion. Complete the verification for the same account: password, Google, or Apple as applicable. Apple authorization is also revoked where linked.
- Wait for the request to be accepted. Cleanup continues on the server if the app closes or the connection is interrupted. An accepted request is not a claim that every cleanup step has already completed.
- In updated releases, return to "Deletion status" on the same installation to check progress, including after sign-out. Only an explicit completion confirmation means that the server has finished the account-record cleanup described below.
Request Deletion By Email
If you cannot access the app, email nacar.dev@gmail.com from the email address connected to your Quiz Flux account. Include:
- the subject line "Quiz Flux Account Deletion";
- your Quiz Flux username;
- the email address used for sign-in; and
- a clear statement that you want your Quiz Flux account deleted.
We may ask for additional information to verify that you control the account before deleting it. Never send passwords or verification codes. Cancelling or failing verification in the app does not submit a new deletion request; it does not cancel a request already accepted by our servers.
Data Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are removed:
- your Firebase Authentication credential (email, display name, photo URL, user ID) and, when applicable, the linked Sign in with Apple authorization;
- your user profile document (username, total points, level, XP, claimed achievements, selected frame, time zone, last-viewed level, last-seen challenge version);
- your friends list and your blocked-users list;
- your activity feed events (achievements unlocked, level-ups, perfect scores, leaderboard top-3 entries, quiz completions);
- your seen-question history (the per-question record used to avoid repeats);
- friend requests you sent or received;
- notifications addressed to you;
- any internal admin alert rows your client created;
- private and public profiles, account-linked scores and attempts, and identifying leaderboard cache entries;
- pending, rejected, approved, and resized profile images, including copied sign-in-provider images, from storage under our control;
- push installation records, profile moderation records, reports and operational records linked to your account under our control;
- the requesting installation's per-account cache and preferences, through a separate local cleanup step. Interrupted local cleanup can require the app to run again; server completion does not remotely wipe other or offline installations.
Anonymous Totals And Retention Limits
We may retain anonymous score totals grouped by category and UTC calendar month. Each aggregate contains only its category, month window, submission count, and combined score. It contains no account ID, stable replacement player ID, username, photo, exact event history, or mapping back to you. Your identifiable score submissions and attempts are removed. Keeping a hashed account ID is not treated as anonymization.
We do not retain identifiable operational records simply for fraud prevention, disputes, leaderboard auditing, or product analytics after completed deletion. Exceptions require an actual applicable legal obligation. The temporary cleanup job is removed when its work is complete.
Cleanup requests deletion of Analytics data and Crashlytics reports associated with your account user ID. Provider acceptance is not immediate erasure, and an account-ID request does not identify all pre-login Analytics data. The device that accepts your request also queues deletion of its push token and Firebase installation, with retries after interruptions; other devices are not proved erased by that step. Your Google or Apple account and original provider-hosted photos are not deleted.
Managed infrastructure may keep historical versions, recovery copies, or provider audit records until their technical expiry. These limits are distinct from legal obligations and do not mean that your account remains active. See the Privacy Policy for provider details. Deletion cannot recall copies other people independently saved outside our services.
Timing
In-app deletion is queued only after successful verification and server acceptance. Account-record cleanup normally takes about two hours, including a security waiting period and scheduled retries. This is an estimate, not a deadline: service interruptions or unsuccessful cleanup steps can take longer. Closing the app does not cancel an accepted request. Email requests are reviewed after ownership verification and can take additional time.
Updated releases keep a private status key on the requesting installation so that you can check after sign-out or restart. The server stores only a hash of that random key with a temporary status receipt; the receipt contains no account ID, email, username or request-to-account mapping. A completed receipt is available for seven days after completion and is then eligible for routine cleanup. Pending work is not treated as completed merely because time has passed.
A confirmation already downloaded remains on that installation until you dismiss it. Clearing app data or losing the installation can remove access to its status key. A missing, expired or temporarily unreachable receipt means that completion cannot be confirmed there; it does not mean deletion succeeded or was cancelled. If you explicitly forget an unavailable status on the device, you remove only that local access. This does not cancel or confirm server deletion. Older releases and requests started on another installation may not offer this status view; contact support if you need help checking completion.
Provider recovery and audit copies can expire later than active application records. In-app confirmation does not promise immediate erasure from every provider system, other installation or independently saved copy.
